Product description: I was hesitant to chose this book thinking animal book would be too stupid or something... but Home of Applegate of the Brave is one of my favorite books ever so I decided to take a chance. And I am so happy that I have. This book was wonderful absolutely wonderful. I loved just each animal and human character. Ivan the Gorilla artistic, Stella, stoic mother elephant, Bob the harsh on the outside but not lasts inside dog and although sure Ruby baby elephant be loved. And humans: George the sympathetic janitor and her daughter Julie, somewhat like fern in Charlotte web because it can almost understand Ivan or at least understand his art. Each character is real even Mack the owner of the menagerie, although we hate what he done, there is more too it than just evil. The situation was so sad but so well made at the minute, I finished the book, I have immediately forwarded to my daughter... perhaps not the best idea to give to him at bedtime, but because I could not get her to turn off the light, she was so immediately drawn in the book. I highly recommend this moving book, who teaches compassion to animals. To learn more...
