Cormac McCarthy is one of the great American authors of the 20th century and to prove once more in the second volume of his trilogy of the border crossing. His prose is beautiful to read, with dialogues without contractions missing apostrophes and quotation marks. It shifts from English to Spanish can be difficult for the non-espagnol drive.
